A core capability of Austal USA’s Repair & Services business is providing service and support through fly-away teams to meet customer needs anytime and anywhere in the world. Austal USA currently operates a lead maintenance activity (LMA) in Singapore to support U.S. Navy deployed Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) ship maintenance requirements with plans to expand capabilities and capacities in the INDOPACOM and CENTCOM areas of responsibility.
Austal USA’s Repair & Services team reduces cost and schedule risk by expediting the ordering and receiving material process through leveraging an extensive network of original equipment manufacturers (OEM), suppliers, and vendors.

The facility includes a dry dock with 9,000 ton lifting capacity optimized to execute availabilities on Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) and other small surface combatants. It is 531 feet (162 meters) long, 154 feet (47 meters) wide, with a maximum draft of 36 feet (11 meters). Services at the repair facility include technical and material support, topside work, and drydocking availabilities. The new facility enables more availabilities to be completed in their home port of San Diego reducing the strain on the fleet and Sailors.
